Bruce is a PGA Master Professional and Director of Instruction at Belfair in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Bruce began his professional golf career upon graduation from the Professional Golf Management program at Arizona State University. After gaining his Class A status with the PGA of America, he was fortunate to work at several of Tucson’s premier golf courses including Tucson Country Club and Ventana Canyon Resort. Bruce’s career has also included time working at Sun Valley Resort’s Elkhorn, and as a private golf coach in Rancho Santa Fe, California. He has been a high school golf coach in Mendocino, California, and a freelance instructor in Palm Desert, California. Bruce was the Swing Coach for the Oregon Tech college golf teams and spent several years as the Director of Instruction for the Running Y Ranch Resort, an Arnold Palmer signature course in Southern Oregon. Prior to moving to Belfair, Bruce was the Director of Instruction and Master Teaching Professional at the Ballantyne Golf Academy, a Golf Channel Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina.
A true student of the game, Bruce’s coaching and teaching are influenced by golf knowledge from the past and present. He incorporates time-honored fundamentals and athletic movement with modern methods of motion analysis. Bruce enjoys working with golfers of all ages and abilities. He has coached beginners, amateurs, casual and senior players, high school and collegiate teams, junior champions, and touring professionals. He strives to individualize each lesson and facilitate growth through a wholistic approach to the game.
As an instructor, Bruce has been certified by TrackMan, the Titleist Performance Institute, and Swing Catalyst. Bruce uses video analysis in all lessons and offers an online training space through CoachNow.
