Belfair Community Access Reminders

Walkers, Runners, and Bikers
If sidewalks are not accessible, please be sure to walk or run facing traffic on the correct side of the street. If at night, to be helpful to drivers, be sure to wear a reflective vest or other wearable items so that you are visible. Also, be sure that if you are walking your pet throughout the community, to follow the same guidelines and to have your pet leashed while walking.

Bicyclist must always ride in the same direction as traffic to allow for better visibility of traffic signals and signs. They are also recommended to wear reflective gear for better visibility.

Golf Carts
Driving golf carts throughout the community is a great and convenient mode of transportation. Operators should follow the same rules and reminders as driving vehicles, such as the following:
  • Obey all stops signs
  • Turn lights on at night
  • Drive on the right side of the road
  • Underage drivers should have a permit or accompanied by an adult
  • Driving while distracted - this could include mobile device use
  • Yield to oncoming traffic - for instance another vehicle is partially blocking the road
  • Pull to the side of the road if you see a fellow member and would like to talk. Blocking the road makes it inaccessible for oncoming traffic and can cause delays.
  • Secure pets if they are to ride in your golf cart
  • Allow visibility while raining and using the plastic rain protectors
